US Lacrosse Addresses Position On Youth Lacrosse
The US Lacrosse Committee for Sports Science and Safety has released a position paper which addresses many topics in boys and girls lacrosse today.
The paper emphasizes US Lacrosse’s position that the youth game should be used for player development, being a team player, safety, and sportsmanship.
In addition to player development, topics such as “all stars” selection, burnout, nutrition, overuse injuries, hydration, and concussions are also addressed. Specific guideline recommendations for both the boys and girls game are also included.
