NDP Lacrosse is proud to announce that the grand prize of the Toyota ‘Win a Car’ Contest, to be held throughout the day at Toyota LaxFest on April 26, will be a 2009 Toyota Corolla S. Contest participation is free, and open to event participants and attendees.*
“Toyota is a great supporter of the sport of lacrosse, and of NDP Lacrosse in particular,” says Josh Gross, NDP’s Manager of Sales & PR. “I’m ecstatic that Toyota is giving attendees the opportunity to win a new Corolla. And this isn’t an impossible contest, like many big-prize sweepstakes are; the target will be just eight yards away from each contestant.”
The vehicle give-away is one of numerous Toyota on-site elements that will be present at Toyota LaxFest, the largest-ever lacrosse event west of the Mississippi River.

Cherry Creek Boys High School Lacrosse is providing a free youth clinic on Saturday, April 19th from 9 am - 12 pm at Cherry Creek HS practice fields for any and all youth lacrosse players. Grade 2-8.
US Lacrosse strongly recommends that youth lacrosse programs establish a criminal history background check program for all coaches and volunteers who interact with youth players.
While there are a number of organizations that provide criminal history background check services, US Lacrosse has established a strategic alliance with the National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI) to provide assistance to the national lacrosse community in this regard. NCSI (www.ncsisafe.com) has received the endorsement of the National Council of Youth Sports and provides services to the United States Olympic Committee, the national governing bodies of many other sports, and hundreds of youth programs throughout the country. NCSI also conducts criminal history background checks for a number of national programs managed by US Lacrosse including the exclusive US Lacrosse Coaching Certification Program.
As a result of its strategic alliance with US Lacrosse, NCSI provides US Lacrosse-affiliated organizations with a special discount for its comprehensive service. Please read the attached document for full details on this alliance and benefit to you.

There is lacrosse, and then there is Aspen lacrosse.
The first, for many years, was reserved for the plush playing fields of the Northeast — Long Island, Baltimore, Boston, Connecticut — where prep school kids from Choate, Andover, Deerfield and other boarding schools took part in this elite spring pastime. There the weather is temperate in spring and fall; the game is established; and top players could continue playing in the Ivy or Patriot leagues in college.

By KENT MINCER

David Zabronsky’s hope is that youngsters in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades will watch a Grand Valley Lacrosse Club game at Canyon View Park and decide that’s the sport they want to play in the spring.
The club, in its third year, has some high aspirations.
“The Grand Valley is a great place for (lacrosse) with the weather and the athleticism,” Zabronsky said.
His hope is the club, which draws players from the entire Grand Valley, can become a team sanctioned by the Colorado High School Activities Association by next spring.

Exciting News! As a result of the two Boy’s Youth Leagues (the CLL and the CJLA) merging this year into the Colorado Youth Lacrosse Association (CYLA), the post season try-outs will be UNIFIED and will pick two teams at the U-15, U-13, and U-11 levels. There WILL NOT BE separate Team Colorado and Colorado Select teams. The teams will play as Colorado Select and the try-outs will be run by the Colorado Lacrosse Foundation (CLF). As in the past, the try-outs are open to anyone that plays or resides in Colorado.
