Exciting News! As a result of the two Boy’s Youth Leagues (the CLL and the CJLA) merging this year into the Colorado Youth Lacrosse Association (CYLA), the post season try-outs will be UNIFIED and will pick two teams at the U-15, U-13, and U-11 levels. There WILL NOT BE separate Team Colorado and Colorado Select teams. The teams will play as Colorado Select and the try-outs will be run by the Colorado Lacrosse Foundation (CLF). As in the past, the try-outs are open to anyone that plays or resides in Colorado.

The head coaches of the Fairview Knights and Boulder Panthers are teaming up again this summer to build a better lacrosse player. The coaches from both of these outstanding programs have modeled this camp after a proven New York system. By teaching solid fundamentals the experienced staff will help the players develop skills, build field awareness and game savvy. The goal is to provide the foundation that every player needs from which to build a successful lacrosse career.

The East Denver Lacrosse Camp announces its summer schedule. EDLC will again host two sessions, June 9-12 and July 21-24. Both sessions will be held at Robinson Park at 3rd and Fairfax in Denver and the base cost is just $175 per session. The camp welcomes kids from 2nd through 8th grade. This is the 14th annual year for the local camp, now run by the Murray brothers. Tryouts will be held on May 31st & June 1st, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dicks Sporting Goods Complex (Site has been changed from Mullen to be at a completely neutral location). Tryouts will be conducted by The Colorado Lacrosse Foundation and its Colorado Select forma. Selectors will include players from the Mammoth, Outlaws and other respected lacrosse evaluators. The 2008 Warrior Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Jamboree is scheduled to take place May 30th through June 1st.

Last year we hosted 260 teams, making the Jamboree the 5th largest lacrosse event in the world.

On July 15th - 18th, 2008, we will welcome campers to the seventh annual CSU Men’s Lacrosse Ram Camp (formerly the CSU High Altitude Lacrose Camp). Every year we have gotten a little bigger and we hope a little bit better. Outlaws Nation will be a new addition to the CSU Ram Camp family in 2008. Being a part of Outlaws Nation will allow us to provide even more top notch instruction from Denver Outlaws players as well as a trip to the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game on Thursday, July 17th, all built into the camp package. Ram Campers are also entitled to one optional discounted season ticket to the Denver Outlaws.

Let CATZ make you faster, stronger, and better conditioned during this Spring Break. Training is held at our indoor training center in Lone Tree, so weather will not be an issue.
The Competitive Athlete Training Zone - CATZ - is the area’s premier sports performance training center. CATZ training is the result of more than 30 years of experience in strength and conditioning and physical therapy. CATZ coaches are degreed and certified and know how to make athletes great.
