Hello all,
I would like to introduce you to the new American Indoor Lacrosse Academy.
Indoor lacrosse develops high level stick skills, dodging techniques and defensive positioning. The read & react decisions unique to indoor lacrosse are dynamic and transferable in cross- training for field lacrosse and ice hockey. Hand-eye coordination, ruggedness, precision, quickness, and speed are key elements of indoor lacrosse. Team work is essential!
The boards, glass, tight quarters with real National Lacrosse League goals (4’ high and 4’9” wide) provide the natural environment for learning through high repetition necessary for skill development. All players will use short sticks and we will teach offense, defense and transition.
A few quick facts about the current state of indoor lacrosse:
Growth of indoor players in NCAA over last 30 years
Dominance of indoor players in DI / DII / DIII
Heavy targeted recruitment among college coaches
Solvency of National Lacrosse League
Our Academy provides players, coaches and parents a high level lacrosse option for skill development. We teach, we develop, we are serious, and we are fun! The features and benefits at our Academy differentiate ourselves and guide players to reach their full potential and achieve their hopes and dreams to become better lacrosse players. We will be using Slow Motion Video Analysis to teach passing, catching and shooting.
We are also looking for coaches who are interested in assisting and learning indoor and be on the floor during the program. In the fall we are planning an indoor league, so one of the evenings while we are in the area, would like to meet with coaches interested in learning indoor.
In our opening year, we will have one camp at the Colorado Sports Center in Monument, CO on July 27 and 28.
I would love to talk to all of you about our program, so please send me a good telephone number and time to call you at aholden@ailacrosse.net.
Also, take a moment to visit our website at www.ailacademy.net.
Thank you so much for your time and I hope to hear from all of you soon.
