My name is Aidan Wynn and I represent the Aspen men’s lacrosse team. In the 90s we used to have a fantastic lacrosse tournament here in Aspen but for several reasons the tournament died. We have been trying to get the tournament back for a long time and finally we have a big name sponsor that is backing us in our endeavor to get the tournament back.
The city has agreed to give us the fields on August 15th and 16th. My hope is to get eight to ten teams here on that weekend and revive the Aspen Lacrosse tournament. I already have contracts from several hotels and condos that have agreed to give discounts for players in the tournament that weekend. The cost would be $350 a team and would guarantee 3 games and an awesome time. Each team would also get an information packet with all the deals on food and drink as well as an entertainment guide for that weekend. The championship game would be Sunday afternoon and the first place team would receive the first ASPEN HOOTERS CUP!! This tournament used to be an absolute blast and with our new sponsor, Hooters, should be a great time!!
