DENVER—Friday, July 10, 2009—The Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game—headlined by a league-most eight Denver Outlaws—takes place Thursday, July 16 at 8 p.m. (MDT) at INVESCO Field at Mile High. Below is an outline of events for fans and media:
WHAT: INTERACTIVE FAN EVENT ON 16TH STREET MALL
WHEN: Wednesday, July 15, 2009, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
WHERE: Skyline Park (16th & Arapahoe)
WHO: Major League Lacrosse All-Star players and coaches.
Great event for fans and media to interact with players, coaches and members of the Outlaws dance team, who will teach fans about the game of lacrosse and sign autographs. Fans can also shoot on a professional goalie, win tickets to the All-Star Game and receive free samples from Qdoba and Monster Energy Drink.

WHAT: LONG-DRIVE COMPETITION FOR CHARITY
WHEN: Wednesday, July 15, 2009, 2-4 p.m.
WHERE: Green Valley Ranch Golf Club (4900 Himalaya Road, Denver)
WHO: MLL All-Stars Paul Rabil (Boston), Anthony Kelly (Chicago), Kevin Leveille (Chicago), Matt Bocklet (Denver), Ray Megill (Boston) and Jesse Schwartzman (Denver).
All-Stars take on fans in a long-drive competition. Each contestant will have a chance to win prizes from The Denver Outlaws, Major League Lacrosse and Green Valley Ranch Golf Club. This includes VIP sideline tickets, pre-game field passes, and more! Profits will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. WHERE: Hard Rock Cafe, 16th & Glenarm
WHO: The best lacrosse players in the world—The MLL All-Stars—joined by coaches and league officials.
All media are invited to come and enjoy an evening of light foot and drinks and meet the All-Stars. Great for interviews and photo ops. The party will take place on the main floor, and although an invite-only event, fans are encouraged to watch the event from the upstairs portion of the restaurant which will be open to the public. Immediately following the event, players and coaches will remain on-site and be available for autographs and photos with fans.

WHO: Major League Lacrosse All-Star players and coaches.
This FREE event is open to anyone looking to play lacrosse and interact with the All-Stars! Activities include playing catch with the players, shooting on goal, soaking the players in a dunk-tank, getting autographs, photo opportunities, a chance to play on the Warrior Lacrosse inflatable and the Monster Energy Drink pre-game motorcycle show.

WHAT: PREGAME TREE-PLANTING CEREMONY

WHERE: Sports Legends Mall, south side of INVESCO Field at Mile High
WHO: Esurance, The Park People, members of the Denver Outlaws and their staff, several youth lacrosse teams and select MLL All-Stars.
Fans are encouraged to come help plant trees with Esurance and the Outlaws to help make our environment a cleaner place for upcoming generations.

WHAT: 2009 MAJOR LEAGUE LACROSSE ALL-STAR GAME
WHEN: Thursday, July 16, 2009, 8 p.m.
WHERE: INVESCO Field at Mile High
WHO: The “Young Guns” (2007-2009) vs. The “Old School” (pre-2007) of Major League Lacrosse
Local lacrosse fans will see many of their favorite players in action at this year’s All-Star game as the Outlaws—tied for the league’s best record at 6-2—placed a league-most eight players on the two rosters.
Denver attackman Brendan Mundorf (UMBC), who is currently ranked among the MLL scoring leaders, along with midfielder Brian Langtry (Hofstra), attackman Matt Brown (University of Denver) and defenseman Lee Zink (Maryland) will represent the Outlaws on the “Old School” team, while attackman Drew Westervelt (UMBC), rookie midfielder Max Seibald (Cornell), defenseman Matt Bocklet (Johns Hopkins), and two-time Defensive Player of the Week, goalie Jesse Schwartzman (Johns Hopkins) will suit up for the “Young Guns.” Denver Head Coach Brian Reese and his assistant coaches Trevor Tierney and Bill Edell will coach the “Old School” team.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 with Joe Beninati and Quint Kessenich calling the action, and will once again feature the popular Bud Light Skills Competition during halftime.
