“Lacrosse Cures”Charity 3v.3 Lax Tourney for All July 25th, 2009
We are happy to announce our 5th Annual Charity Lacrosse Event, “Lacrosse Cures”, July 25th, 2009! This is a competitive 3v.3 CHUMASH tourney to showcase talent and raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado Sports Buddies Program. 100% of the tournament profits will be going to benefit the BBBSC Sports Buddies Program. The BBBSC Sports Buddies program allows at risk youth an opportunity to get involved with all kinds of athletics, whether it’s playing a game or attending a professional athletic event with a big brother or big sister. Athletics have played such a significant role in all of our lives; this is an excellent opportunity to expose others to the wonderful world of sports. Please visit biglittlecolorado.org for more information. The tournament’s mission: Quite simply, bring the Colorado lacrosse community together and get under privileged youth involved in sports.
Chumash Tournament Details: This is for high school, middle, and youth boys/girls. There will also be a coed men’s/women’s division! Register alone or put together your own team and register as a team. Each team can be comprised of 4-5 players, 5 players are recommended. You may have players on your team from different schools, but you must register with your 3v3 team all together. Length and number of games will depend on number of participants. There is limited space, so register your team ASAP. Must Register by July 1st, 2009!
Dates: Saturday, July 25th, 2009
Time / Place: 8:00am- 4:00pm, Rosamond Park (8001 E Quincy Ave., Denver, CO 80237)
Cost: $150 (team) or $30 per player (5 per team)

What is Chumash Lax:Chumash is played by two teams of 3 players each on the field. Each team may have 1-2 substitutes. There is one goal in the center of the field. The purpose of each team is to score on its respective side of the goal. There are NO goalies, but goalies are encouraged to attend as field players.
