Steamboat Men’s Lacrosse Team Has Begun Its Summer League Season

The Steamboat men’s lacrosse team has begun its summer league season, with drop-in games at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at Ski Town Fields. The games are open to anyone.

“Anybody can come out,” co-organizer Todd Wichelhaus said. “We have a broad, broad spectrum of players.”

Wichelhaus said he hopes to have enough players to field two teams for a scrimmage.

Along with the team scrimmages, Wichelhaus said there are plans to play teams from surrounding areas. Steamboat will host a tournament Aug. 9 and 10 at Whistler Field.

Anyone interested in playing lacrosse should send an e-mail to steamboatlacrosse@yahoo.com.
