CRS LAX’s 4th Annual Charity 3v3 Tourney,“Lax Cures”, July 26, 2008 (www.CRSLAX.com)

We are happy to announce our 4th Annual Charity Lacrosse Event, “Lax Cures”, July 26th, 2008! This is a competitive 3v.3 CHUMASH tourney to showcase talent and raise money for The Colorado Big Brothers Big Sisters Sports Buddies Program. 100% of the tournament profits will be going to benefit The Colorado BBBS Sports Buddies Program. The Colorado BBBS Sports Buddies program allows at risk youth an opportunity to get involved with all kinds of athletics, whether it’s playing a game or attending a professional athletic event with a big brother or big sister.  Athletics have played such a significant role in all of our lives; this is an excellent opportunity to expose others to the wonderful world of sports.  Please visit www.bbbscolo.org for more information.  The tournament’s mission:  Quite simply, bring the Colorado lacrosse community together and get under privileged youth involved in sports.                  Chumash Tournament Details:  This is for high school, middle, and youth boys/girls. There will also be a coed men’s/women’s division! Register alone or put together your own team and register as a team. Each team can be comprised of 4-5 players, 5 players are recommended. You may have players on your team from different schools, but you must register with your 3v3 team all together.  Length and number of games will depend on number of participants. CRS LAX Annouces 2008 Youth and Elite Lax Camp Dates: June 23rd-27th (www.crslax.com)

CRS LAX Camp is designed to teach beginning players the fundamentals of lacrosse and advance the skills of the intermediate/ advanced players. Beginners will be learning catching and throwing, cradling, ground balls, etc. Intermediate players will cover offensive and defensive strategies, and all around advanced lacrosse skills.Intermediate and advanced players will model a college level practice with advanced drills and concepts- offensive and defensive strategies such as, attacking plays and specific defense.This is a great place to start or advance your skills if you are planning to play lax at one of the surrounding high schools or youth programs!

Coyote Lacrosse team announces Academic Awards

The Coyote Boys Lacrosse high school team recently announced the names of players who received academic awards for the current school year including: Foothills All Academic Awards, CHSAA Academic All State First Team and CHSAA Academic All State Honorable Mention. The Coyote Boys Lacrosse team is based at Monarch High School and includes players from Monarch, Peak to Peak, Broomfield and Centaurus. The Coyote Program stresses excellence in the classroom as well as on the field.

Brian Langtry to Appear on FSN Live Tonight - Media Day Scheduled for Friday, May 16

DENVER—May 14, 2008— Denver Outlaws midfielder Brian Langtry will be a guest on FSN Rocky Mountain’s nightly sports program FSN LIVE tonight at 11:00 p.m. MT. Langtry will discuss the Outlaws preparation for their season opener against the Los Angeles Riptide Saturday night. The game will air on FSN Rocky Mountain Sun., May 18 at noon MT. A replay of FSN LIVE airs tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. MT.
