DU freshman needs your votes

DENVER – University of Denver men’s lacrosse freshman attackman Jamie Lincoln (St. Cathariens, Ontario) has been selected by www.LaxPower.com as one of three finalists for Rookie of the Year for the 2008 LaxPower Fan Awards.

Lincoln leads DU with 47 goals, a Pioneer Division I record for goals in a season, and 51 total points. Lincoln has 14 multi-goal games on the season, including five with at least four goals.

Lincoln was named the Great Western Lacrosse League Newcomer of the Year and earned Inside Lacrosse’s Player of the Week award for the week of April 8.

Fans can vote for Lincoln at www.laxpower.com/vote. Voting closes Saturday, May 10.

Lincoln and the Pioneers claimed a three-way share of the GWLL regular season title and earned an at-large bid to the 2008 NCAA Tournament. DU will face No. 7-seed Maryland on Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m. MT. The game can be seen on ESPNU.
