Bobcats drop pair after opening with six straight wins

After opening the season with six straight wins, the Quinnipiac University men’s lacrosse team has dropped two in a row and face two of their toughest road tests this weekend.

The Bobcats will travel to Colorado to take on the Pioneers of Denver University Friday, April 11 at 9:30 p.m. Mountain Standard Time and the Air Force Academy at 3 p.m. MST on Sunday afternoon.

Ranked No. 19 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Poll, the Pioneers knocked off No. 7 ranked Notre Dame in thrilling fashion 9-8 on Saturday.

So far this season, Denver has posted a 3-2 record against ranked opponents. They defeated Colgate, Cornell and Stony Brook, but fell in a pair of one-goal defeats to Towson and North Carolina.
