DENVER exploded for 41 goals last week, in a 21-13 win over Connecticut and 20-14 win over Colgate. Tied at 8, the No. 19 Pioneers used a 6-0 scoring run late in the first half and into the second to open it up. Junior Steph Coyne was unstoppable all week, totaling 10 points vs. the Raiders on three goals and seven assists, and tying the all-time team record for most assists in a game. Against the Huskies, she combined for nine points on three goals and six assists, giving her a 19-point week. Denver’s outburst carried over to Monday with a 21-10 win over Marist as sophomore Ali Flury had four goals and Coyne had four assists.
