Growth in high school lacrosse is booming
High School Lacrosse is booming in America. High Schools are adding state varsity sanctioned programs and club programs at an explosive pace. Both lady and boy’s high school lacrosse are experiencing phenomenal growth compared to other sports. High school lax is so strong in certain areas that you can actually catch high school lacrosse games on TV. If that isn’t a positive sign of the state of things to come we don’t know what is.
On the West Coast the game is gaining rapid popularity, and you can see a clear closing of the gap between East Coast and West Coast lacrosse caliber of play. In the other areas of the country lacrosse is also gaining traction and states like Michigan, Illinois, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and Colorado have very strong programs.
