In keeping with franchises with a tradition of winning we next had a chance to visit and speak with the new Head Coach of the Colorado Mammoth, Bob McMahon. Bob is no stranger to coaching in the NLL, having led the Albany Attack to the Championship final in 2002, after a 14-2 record. That year also gained him Coach Of The Year honours. Since then he has been an Assistant Coach with the Arizona Sting.

MAMMOTH TICKETS ON SALE THIS SATURDAY

Single-game tickets for the 2008 Colorado Mammoth season will go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Mammoth opens the National Lacrosse League season at home on Dec. 29 against the Calgary Roughnecks and plays five of its first six games at home.

Other highlights of the Mammoth’s home schedule include two games each against West Division foes San Jose Stealth and Edmonton Rush. The Mammoth also takes on East Division rivals Philadelphia Wings on Feb. 15 and defending league champions Rochester Knighthawks on April 3.

“We’re one month away from Opening Night and are very excited about the sixth season of Colorado Mammoth lacrosse,” Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. “We’re anticipating a great matchup with Calgary on Dec. 29 and another great slate of games at Pepsi Center in front of the best fans in the NLL.”

The Mammoth ranked first last season in league attendance, averaging 16,794 fans per home game. Through five seasons in Denver the Mammoth is 31-9 in regular season games at home and have led the league in attendance three times.

The Pepsi Center box office opens Saturday at 10 a.m. Tickets will also be available online at Ticketmaster.com over the phone at 303.830.TIXS or 719.520.9090 and at all Ticketmaster outlets.

Party Packs include four tickets, four hot dogs and four Coors Lights or Pepsis for $39. Family Night includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four Pepsis for $39. Youth Night offers a free ticket to children 14 and younger with the purchase of an adult ticket. All fans who attend the opening night game against Calgary will receive a free lift ticket to Monarch Mountain.
