Outlaws look for 3 in a row vs. Riptide
Denver travels to L.A. on Saturday
Denver–July 12, 2007 – The Denver Outlaws hit the road on Saturday, July 14, to take on the L.A. Riptide.
The Riptide enter this weekend with a 5-2 record and currently sit in first place in the Western Conference. The Outlaws sit at 4-3, which puts them in second position in the division.
The two teams met once before this season, with Denver getting the best of the Riptide by a final score of 18-15 on June 9 at INVESCO Field @ Mile High.
In that game, attackman Brendan Mundorf led the Outlaws with 8 points and his college teammate Drew Westervelt had a terrific professional debut, scoring 4 goals and chipping in 3 assists.
Fans can expect a shootout, as Denver looks to improve to 5-0 all-time against the Riptide. The Outlaws took all three games from Los Angeles in 2006 and will look to make a move on the division leader in the coming weeks.
