Outlaws Acquire Chris Unterstein from Rochester
Denver sends Jeff Zywicki and a College draft pick to Rochester
Denver–May 2nd, 2007 –The Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced today they have acquired attackman Chris Unterstein from the Rochester Rattlers. In exchange for the second year player, Denver sent attackman Jeff Zywicki and their 2007 2nd round Collegiate Draft pick to the Rattlers.
Unterstein was taken in the first round (8th overall) in the 2006 MLL College Draft. Last season, Unterstein scored 7 goals and added 10 assists in 7 games for the Rattlers.
“Chris is a phenomenal young player,” said Outlaws General Manager Brian Reese. “He does everything very well and his talents will fit in with what we already have in place. I know Chris will have a great year for the Outlaws.”
A 2006 Hofstra University graduate, Unterstein was selected as a First Team All-American and a finalist for the Tewaaraton Trophy as nation’s best player. He was also named the 2006 Colonial Athletic Association men’s lacrosse Player of the Year and First Team All-CAA after leading all of Division I in scoring with 81 points (45g+36a) as a senior.
Zywicki scored 6 goals and added 3 assists in 4 games last season for the Outlaws. “Jeff played an important role in our success last season, “said Reese. “We wish him the best of luck in Rochester. I believe this trade will benefit both teams.”
All Outlaws home games will be played at INVESCO Field at Mile High. There will be a free scrimmage, open to the public, on May 12 vs. the Los Angeles Riptide starting at 1pm. The Outlaws open their 2007 season against the San Francisco Dragons on May 19th.

On July 17th - 20th, 2007, we will welcome campers to the sixth annual CSU Men’s Lacrosse Ram Camp (formerly the CSU High Altitude Lacrose Camp). Every year we have gotten a little bigger and we hope a little bit better. We work closely with Colorado State University to help insure solid administration and the safest venue possible. The facilities used are the university dorms, the dining hall, Recreation Center and of course the fields.
Much like other kinds of summer camps, we break the groups down into age/skill/cabin units and levels. We want each group to become a family within the larger Camp Family. Counselors will be moving with as well as working with their assigned groups. Some will stay in the dorms with their “troops”. Throughout the day and throughout the camp groups will be doing things together as a team.
