Outlaws Invite Seven Open Tryout Players to Camp

Denver–April 9, 2007 –The Denver Outlaws have invited seven players who participated in the team’s first ever open tryouts on April 1 to training camp. These seven, along with the 28 existing members will comprise the 35 players the Outlaws will bring to training camp starting April 28th.
“Our open tryouts were extremely competitive and these seven players stood out to our staff,” said Outlaws General Manager Brian Reese. “All seven will compete for playing time and will help make the Outlaws better.”
Attackmen Lance Vitt and Kevin Tait, Midfielders Neal Anderson, Bobby Magrin and Kip Hale, and Defenders Alan Smith Jr and Matt Nader are the seven players that were selected from the 38 that competed at the open tryouts. Anderson is the only player with Major League Lacrosse experience. He scored one goal in one game played last season with the Boston Cannons.
The Outlaws open their season on May 19th against Western Conference rival San Francisco at INVESCO Field at Mile High.
